- Harry Houdini made the following claim: "Show me any magic trick 3 times and I will tell you how it is done." The man who won the challenge is considered to be the father of modern magic; Dai Vernon. Vernon fooled the famous Houdini by performing a VERY old version of one of the most famous card tricks amongst magicians today; the ambitious card; he made a card jump from the center of the deck, all the way to the top, three times. (David Blaine fanatics might relate this to Blaine’s version of the ambitious card.)
